I discovered the technical side of Lighting after previously working in Interior Design and finding that lighting is a large proportion of the design. Working in Lighting Design for 10+ Years developing from a Novice to a experience Senior Lighting Design Engineer.  Working for a manufacturing company has helped to broaden the wealth of knowledge in a number of areas; Health Care, Education, Retails, Commercial & Industrial, after successfully completing the LIA qualification for all three levels [Certificate/Advanced Interior & Advanced Exterior] a BNI member and a member of CIBSE (MCIBSE).

Then deciding it was time to take a risk and go it alone, acting on behalf of    CL Design Solutions LTD as a Freelance / Contract Designer for the past 4+ years.

The different range of work enables me to keep up to date with the latest technology and skills within the lighting industry, and ensures that designs stay fresh and unique, taking pride in my work. My professionalism guarantees that the final production is finished to a high standard.

As a lighting/BIM designer, I am able to visualise the client’s end product and able to communicate these ideas to others. The in-depth knowledge of the technology I work with allows me to easily troubleshoot.

Having developed from a Lighting designer, now developing my knowledge within the BIM world, designing BIM Family models not only for Lighting but other manufactured products, all incorporate the relevant data required for each individual customer, ie; CoBie data, LENI Data which meet with industry standards level 2.
